Navigation System 2015 Prius

The Navigation System in the 2015 Prius is like most technological gadgets, you must use it to figure it out.  Some of us are a little hesitate to sink our teeth into a gadget that beeps and chimes.

Prius Navigation

There are few of us that can find our way around a city without GPS, gone are the days of the Rand McNally map book that you kept in your car.  Getting  accurate directions from a stranger is a thing of the past. Many of you would not understand map coordinates or latitude or longitude.

Map

If you were ever in Scouts reading a map was required to advance in rank. To a youth becoming an Eagle Scout was the ultimate, it was better than getting stars on your forehead in Catholic school.

Satellite technology has changed the world that we live in and for the geographically challenged individual it’s given them direction.

Navigation is one of the most popular options when purchasing a new car. The Navigation system of today is like the air conditioning option of yesterday, you must have it.

The Navigation system in the 2015 Toyota Prius is a very easy system to use, Toyota of El Cajon has produced a video that shows you the basics of the 2015 Prius Navigation system please take a look at the video.

It’s no secret that Americans have a long fascination with the internal combustion engine and many of us were reluctant to embrace the hybrid technology, but the Toyota Prius has set the standard and has been embraced by the public.  Whenever new technology reaches the masses there is a long list of skeptics that will wait a few years before purchasing, the Toyota Prius is now on the short list.

Using data from over 36,000 Toyota Prius hybrids, Consumer Reports has given the Toyota Prius high marks for reliability.  Prius owners also experience low ownership cost due to few repairs.

One of the questions that potential Prius buyers raised was the longevity of the battery, skeptics worried about the length of the battery life and its cost to replace it.

It is not uncommon to find Prius owners with over 200,000 miles on their cars, that are using the same original battery.  Many Prius-driving Taxi drivers have logged over 200,000 miles on their cars and reported no decline in vehicle performance.

The Toyota Prius is now in its fourth generation model and has many happy customers throughout the world.  Toyota of El Cajon had the opportunity to profile one of our customers  Dana Stevens, who owns a 2006 Prius with  250,000 miles watch to her story.

The 2016 Prius has been redesigned for better aerodynamics and fuel efficiency and promises to raise the bar even higher for hybrid vehicles.  If you’re in the market for a reliable fuel-efficient car then test drive the Toyota Prius.

Bluetooth Technology in Vehicles!

Bluetooth wireless technology is built into a wide range of products from medical devices to cars and mobile phones. Bluetooth technology was in invented in 1994 by engineers at Ericsson, a Swedish company. In 1998 a group of companies formed the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), as a way to connect their products. The organization is devoted to maintain the technology and allow for no single company to “own” Bluetooth technology,

From an automotive perspective, Bluetooth offers the ability to utilize your personal cellphone through an in-car system. It offers safety and convenience of a factory installed car phone combined with the freedom of a handheld cellphone. Using Bluetooth simply changes the device on which your calls are received. Your phone number stays the same and charges appear on your regular cell phone bill. Drivers can operate their cell phones either through the cars controls or via hands free voice activation.

We have provided a video tutorial on how to pair your Bluetooth device with a 2013 Camry.
